Jarred Cronan 11" x 14" Graphite and Charcoal on Bristol BoardThis is a commissioned portrait just completed. I used graphite (pencil) to do the background image and charcoal for the foreground. It makes for a nice contrast - the pencil is soft and dull and the charcoal is dark and bold.
