The Andy Man Can

Andy Pettitte Sketch continued

Here you see the further development of the Pettitte sketch. I added color and some more detail. I did the background in another layer and added a blur to give the piece some depth. Playing around with stuff like that is much easier when drawing digitally.

Anybody know what they call those red, white, and blue things you always see around the stadium at the World Series?

Yankee Lefty

Andy Pettitte Sketch

I did this sketch during last years World Series. Never been a big Yankees fan but I like Andy Pettitte and the way he competes. I am working on caricaturing the whole body and incorporating it into a scene. Watch this one develop and let me know what you think.

Roll Tide Roll

11" x 14" Acrylic on Wood Panel

I did this a week after Alabama whipped Texas to win the BCS National Championship. It is acrylic on wood and down with a paint knife (except for the outline of the letters). Inspired by the monsterous season Alabama had and the domination of their march to an undefeated season. Big Al in real life - charging forward seemed to fit the effort by Saban's team.

It is a bit different than may normal style but I am please with the look. What do you think? Sorry for the lens flair at the top it looks a little better in person. And yes, it is for sale.

It's a Kranzleinmen

CHS Lions Hunter Kranzlein 16" x 20" Acrylic on Canvas

This was a commissioned piece and no, I didn't enhance his tricep muscle - well maybe a little.
